Skiing Legend Lindsey Vonn Reflects on F1 Journey Ahead of Las Vegas GP Alongside F1 Legend Sir Jackie Stewart

The Miami Grand Prix made a triumphant return to the International Autodrome, sparking excitement and drama. From breaking out in an unfortunate incident with Roger Federer to Lindsey Vonn’s comments, Formula 1 enthusiasts experienced plenty of action before the race even started. In a recent highlight, the alpine skiing queen has recently added some more updates on her social media handle.

After sharing wheels with Lewis Hamilton, the athlete was clicked with another F1 legend, Sir Jackie Stewart. Along with this, her reflective words on the journey stirred a buzz on the internet, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the event that took the internet by storm.

It all started when Vonn broke up with Tiger Woods in 2015. The knockout athlete appeared at the British Grand Prix eight years back. At the event, Vonn met Stewart, a famous British former Formula One racing driver from Scotland. In 2023, Vonn again got the opportunity to get clicked with the star.

On 17th November 2023, Vonn was captured with Stewart. Vonn took to her Instagram handle and added a new Instagram story. She clubbed two pictures in comparison format. On the left, it is an 8 years image with the caption, “How it started”, while, on the right hand, she is in a black long coat and black pants with Stewart adding, “How it’s going”.

Recently Stewart’s attempt to grab Federer’s attention led to a security mix-up and caused chaos. The incident overshadowed the race, creating unexpected headlines. Vonn’s connection and love for F1 are not unknown.

Renowned as a high-speed alpine skier, Lindsey Vonn’s journey almost took a detour into the world of Formula 1. In a revealing interview with Graham Bensinger, Vonn disclosed an enticing offer to drive for Red Bull in F1, even navigating a Renault 3.5 on an F1 track in Spielberg, Austria. Despite the allure, the commitment required, including a three-year hiatus and abstaining from pregnancy, made it impractical.

Yet, Vonn’s fascination with F1 persists, clear in her attendance at the 2nd edition of the Miami Grand Prix. Witnessing the unexpected incident involving Sir Jackie Stewart and Roger Federer, she observed the unfolding confusion from close quarters. As the iconic tartan-capped Stewart engaged in conversation with Federer, Vonn remained a compelling presence.
