This year’s Super Bowl has been a rollercoaster ride that many hadn’t expected it to be. With the Kansas City Chiefs successfully defending the title, football fans are finally settling into idea of seeing Patrick Mahomes & Co. reigning the nation’s football circuit for another year. Amidst all the cacophony, Alpine skiing legend Lindsey Vonn wasn’t one to stay on the sidelines and had to soak in the extravaganza that was the NFL grand finale.

The Olympic gold medalist was among the football-crazed celebrities who graced the stands at yesterday’s match between the Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers and her fans are understandably going ga-ga seeing their favorite skiing icon in public once again.

Lindsey Vonn basks in the Chiefs’ glory

In her latest Instagram post captioned “Super Bowl Recap“, Vonn shared multiple pictures of herself enjoying the thrilling game. “What a game! Congrats to the @chiefs and @patrickmahomes on the OT victory!“, wrote Lindsey in her post as she looked dapper in brown attire and standing on the side of the field. In another image, Vonn is seen sharing a candid moment with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and she had to highlight the meeting with the caption, “It was great to see @shaq again“.

Vonn also took a moment to commend User, Alicia Keys, and Ludacris on their phenomenal half-time show. “The half time show was A-mazing! @usher crushed it and loved all the bonus performances“, wrote the retired Olympian in her post. Vonn also shared images with a few 49ers fans who dressed up like Elvis and made sure the festivities had some splash of musical legend to them as well.

While Vonn had a great time playing with the red and yellow confetti after the Chiefs’ win, it probably wasn’t the highlighting moment of the day for her. “I walked almost 14 miles in high heels.“, revealed Lindsey, claiming that it’s some sort of a personal record for the four-time women’s World Cup winner. From the looks of it, Vonn’s retired life is going just how an icon’s quaint life should be.

A happening post-retirement life

Since Vonn her boots four years ago, she has been spending a lot of time getting around doing the stuff she missed out on during her professional life. From taking on the mighty Streif in Austria to playing the role of a ski instructor for supermodel Ashley Graham, Vonn has been ticking off items from the bucket list.

Along with that, she’s also getting used to the sunny environment in Miami and claims to be finally defrosting herself after an illustrious life on the mountains.
