Well, perhaps Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn did that with skiing. The legend of skiing was so passionate about the game that she decided not to care about her injuries at all for a while. In fact, she had the most insane post-retirement plan regarding her physical health while she was still competing.

The skiing legend Lindsey Vonn has had several injuries during her career. Some of them were horrible ones. However, for that, she never really hated the sport. Not even for a brief second. Perhaps all those injuries and setbacks made her stronger, and more passionate about skiing.

Lindsey Vonn had an insane plan she was banking on

The American skier accepted the fact that skiing is an extreme sport, and injuries are an inevitable part of it. Therefore, instead of thinking about injuries, she kept all her focus on her game. Furthermore, she had a specific plan to take care of her injuries after retirement.

In one of the interviews, while she was still competing, Lindsey said“I mean, I’m sure — here’s the thing. I’m really hoping, and this is what I’m banking on. I’m banking that medical science will be at a stage. When I’m done skiing, they will just come up with something to fix my knee.”

Lindsey was ready to take chances

Her love for skiing was certainly more profound than any fear of injury. When asked whether she was okay with being crippled or broken because of the sport, she said“I’m fine with that, you know. I will use my body to the best of my ability until it can no longer function.”

Perhaps what makes someone like Lindsey Vonn so great is the fact that she has no regrets. She accepted everything that came her way and did her best in every situation. However, more importantly, she feels confident in who she is as a person and what she aims to achieve in the future. And that is why she is the best.
