Her NGO, Lindsey Vonn Foundation, is doing a remarkable job and has saved millions of lives since it came into existence in 2015.

Lindsey is one of the very few athletes who have risen beyond the game they played. Today she is an icon, an inspiration, and a role model for many. Even after retiring from professional skiing, she is dedicated to service, applying her skills to provide humanitarian aid to those in need.

Lindsey Vonn announces her annual gala

In collaboration with her foundation to raise funds for underprivileged girls, the skiing legend will be organizing the annual gala on May 20th this year. The event will take place at Goldener Hirsch in Deer Valley and the tickets are on sale now. Lindsey revealed the news through an Instagram post.

She wrote, “My Foundation gala is finally back!! We dress up, celebrate and raise money to help under privileged girls achieve their dreams. My foundation is one of the things I am most proud of but what makes it so special are the people I’m lucky enough to share it with.  I’m excited this year to bring old and new friends together to support the cause in Park City.”

Recovering from the surgery

Lindsey recently had surgery, as her knee was bothering her for quite some time. Although the doctor had suggested complete bed rest, Lindsey is confiding in nature for a quick recovery. She recently posted a couple of pictures on her Instagram handle where the legend was seen horse riding on a hill.

All we can wish for right now is that she gets back on her feet before the gala and we see her at her absolute best sooner than ever.
