Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 was a really awful experience for the American skier Mikaela Shiffrin. She was the top favorite going into the Olympics but came back home without any medal. However, the two-time Olympic gold medalist gave her best and there’s nothing she can do about the results now. All she can do is relax her mind and enjoy her favorite meal at home.

What is Mikaela Shiffrin’s go-to meal?

The top American skier has shared her favorite go-to meal while featuring in an advertisement for the food delivery service Grubhub. She has shared a video on her official Instagram handle in which she reveals that her go-to food option is carbonara. In the voiceover, Mikaela Shiffrin says, “I spend almost 10 months of the year competing or training on the road… my go-to meal is always carbonara.”

Mikaela is a big foodie and often shares food-related pictures on her social media. In one post she describes her love for pasta by saying,As you know, I love pasta. And I love carbonara of course. But what I love most is to cook it for someone else 😉.” In fact, her love for pasta is even mentioned in her Instagram bio.

A bad Olympic for Mikaela Shiffrin

Mikaela Shiffrin would surely want to forget everything about Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. In two of the races, she was disqualified, while in the remaining events her performance was far from podium results. She even tried racing in the downhill event, which she rarely does, and finished 18th. All in all, the Beijing Winter Olympics was like a bad dream for her.

The 26-year-old American skier is an amazing athlete and one bad Olympic can’t overshadow her incredible career. For now, all she can do is take a little time off and contemplate her future endeavors.
