Back in 2018, a Twitter user had shared a popular meme from the movie New Jack City. The meme showed the character of Wesley Snipes (Nino Brown) holding up a gun to his close friend.

The user used the image and attached a funny caption to it. Their caption said, “when the race war is happening and I gotta k**l Tony Hawk”. The humor here emerged from the fact that Tony Hawk is a global icon who made skateboarding mainstream. Thus, four years down the line, when the retired skateboarding legend finally met Wesley Snipes, he remembered the meme. Posting a photograph with Snipes while shaking hands, Hawk wrote, “I was spared. Life is good”.
