White had arrived at the studios of Access Daily to promote his documentary but ended up divulging a funny anecdote. The show hosts asked Shaun White about the first time he had a conversation with Dobrev. White recalled the incident and said he was at a relationship seminar, and Dobrev was also in attendance.

White said someone had just helped him figure out some things about social media, and he wanted to share his knowledge with Nina. “When we met, I was giving her tips. Cause I just had someone help me with my social media, not knowing that she had 26 million followers!”

White had a chuckle with his hosts as he said this. He also said that his friends really adore Nina. While this anecdote was quite hilarious on its own, White shared another funny incident about his mother, who gave away his medal to the dry cleaners for cleaning.

Shaun White comes from a sweet and loving family. His family had almost lost him due to the blue baby syndrome, but he was thankfully saved. However, his sweet little family also has some cute little flaws. Shaun White recalled an incident where his mother had ended up giving his Olympic gold medal to the dry cleaners for cleaning.

Shaun White returned home after an event and found his gold medal missing. When his efforts yielded no results, he asked his mother if she had seen his medal. White’s mom casually said that she had given it to the dry cleaners for cleaning. White was shocked by what he just heard. His mom said that the medal’s ribbon had become very dirty and greasy, so she sent it for cleaning.

The funniest part, however, is the fact that his mom was bewildered that the cleaners charged her $5 just for cleaning a ribbon. Fortunately, White got his medal back again. While White was both shocked and scared when he came to know about it, now that he looks back, he gets filled with joy and warmth.
