Chloe Kim is a well-known name in the snowboarding world. She is considered to be one of the finest female athletes snowboarding has ever produced. Kim achieved success early in her career when she won the gold medal at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in a halfpipe competition. Since then she achieved many medals and won many competitions to mark her name among the greatest female snowboarders of all time.

Her success followed her out of the field with millions of dollars in sponsorship deals and appearances in Hollywood movies like Charlie’s Angels Reboot and music videos of Maroon 5. This achievement elevated her to a position where her story can inspire many to change their lives in a positive way. In that direction, a prestigious University has invited her to speak about her success in being a professional snowboarder.

Those achievements and the struggles behind them might find a place in the University hall where hundreds of young minds and experts sit to analyze and learn to change their and others’ lives from others’ experiences. According to The Denver Gazette, Kim is been invited by the University of Colorado Boulder to speak on its campus. The Olympic gold medalist will speak about her success in snowboarding and off the snow field. She will also shed light on how she managed the spotlight of being a teenage celebrity and share her experience of it.

Kim will be hosted by the University’s Distinguished Speakers Board and the event shall be held at Macky Auditorium, 1595 Pleasant St., Boulder. Speaking on the invite the chairwoman of DSB, Veena Bhatnagar said, “The Distinguished Speakers Board is so excited to host Chloe Kim on campus“.

She further mentioned that Kim will easily connect with the University students who share their love for snowboarding and face challenges in today’s digital world where everything is under scrutiny. This is the chance for Kim to share her career experience with the young and inspire them to achieve the impossible.

Chloe Kim’s snowboarding career in brief

Chloe Kim’s snowboarding career started at the age of four when her father admitted her to the local resort in Mountain High. At the age of six, she became part of the Mountain High team. She went to Switzerland and trained there for two years and returned to join the Mammoth Mountain snowboard team. She qualified for the Sochi Olympics but couldn’t participate due to age factor.

She appeared on the national scenes in the 2015 X Games where she defeated Kelly Clark and became its youngest winner. In the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, she won gold in the halfpipe with a score of 98.25 points. In the 2022 Beijing Olympics, she successfully defended her title and won the gold medal.
