So when the 18-year-old American-born Chinese freestyle skier Eileen Gu became the Olympic champion, she couldn’t help but reach out to her with best wishes. Just like everyone else, the snowboarding champion is certain that incredible achievements are awaiting Eileen in the near future.

Chloe Kim won her second consecutive Olympic gold in the halfpipe event at the Beijing Winter Olympics. As far as her performance is concerned, she is extraordinary and has all the qualities of becoming a legend in the sport.

Enthralled by Eileen Gu’s talent, Chloe said, “I’m so proud of her, and everything she’s accomplished. I wish her nothing but the best… I’m her number one fan. Furthermore, she has earned all the attention she is getting from the world.

Elaborating on her friendship with the Chinese skier, Chloe further added, “Eileen is amazing. I’ve known her for a few years now, and she’s such a hard worker. [She’s] such an inspiration to young girls around the world.”

Who is Eileen Gu?

Well, the majority of people already know about her as an American athlete who now competes for China. However, there is certainly more to her story. The 18-year-old Eileen made history by becoming the youngest freestyle skiing Olympic champion in the half-pipe and big air. Furthermore, she also won a silver medal in the slopestyle at the Beijing Games.
