Two-time Olympic gold medalist and snowboarding sensation Chloe Kim recently announced that she’d be taking this season off from the competition. Just days after her announcement, Kim has been spotted at the gym with her boyfriend, skateboarder Evan Berle.

In this Instagram story, we see Kim challenging her boyfriend in an intense workout. With boxing gloves on, the couple goes head to head practicing their moves with a trainer.

Chloe Kim’s decision to go on hiatus

While this certainly isn’t Kim’s first break from competition, the news came fresh off her Beijing Olympic victory. One of the most anticipated sports in Beijing was the snowboarding event, and Chloe Kim was the star. Taking gold in the women’s halfpipe, Kim claimed her second Olympic title in 2022.

Back in Pyeongchang 2018, Kim became the first woman to win an Olympic snowboarding gold at the young age of 17. Following Pyeongchang, Kim took a year-long break to focus on her studies. After her consecutive victory in Beijing, the snowboarder has decided to sit out the 2022-23 season as well.

While the Olympic season has been rewarding for Kim, it has also been quite demanding for her. She has taken some time to recuperate and take care of her mental health. Kim has won a record number of 6 X Games, 2 Youth Olympic gold medals, and 2 World Championship titles. In July 2018, Kim won three ESPYs for Best Female Athlete, Best Female Olympian, and Best Female Action Sports Athlete. And she is only 22 years old!

Kim’s skateboarder boyfriend: Evan Berle

Dating for about two years now, Kim and Berle have a wholesome relationship often portrayed on their social media accounts. They frequently feature in each other’s social media posts. Berle is a professional skateboarder and student at UCLA. They went public with their relationship through the same platform in January 2021, announcing their 1st anniversary.
