“Witnessed a Scalping”: Snowboarding Enthusiasts’ Near Fatal Stunt Raises Concern Leaving Internet in Frenzy

The snowboarding enthusiasts, Garrett Warnick, and Matias Radaelli never shy away from showcasing their staunch snowboarding skills. While the two aren’t officially known to have contested in competitions, they are well-distinguished in the community. Both of them, represented by Jones Snowboard, leave no stone unturned to chase thrill down the mountain.

Garrett with 12k Instagram followers, and Matias with 8k have their feeds filled with their snowboarding adventures. Now adding another one to the list, both the snowboarders shared a new adventurous spree with their fandom and took all the brownie points.

For Garrett and Matias, snowboarding is just another regular routine of the day. The two are known to film their snowboarding spree with utmost finesse. While Garrett works with Absinthe films and travel to different corners of the world looking for a perfect spot, you can find Matais snowboarding in Argentina Backcountry for The Snowboarder’s Journal. Whatever the nook, Garrett and Matais will find themselves a place to share.

Now sharing one of their frequent updates, the duo posted a collaborative reel of them snowboarding down a mountain. The video shows Garrett, and Matias starting at the same time almost too close to each other. While Matias takes to the left on a plainer surface with a go pro in hand, Garrett goes left taking the slightly elevated one. Performing the over-under, Garrett landed to hit Matias on the head with his landing. But fortunately, the performance didn’t injure either of the snowboarders.

Captioning the post Garret wrote, “You win some you loose some. Luckily Mati and I were both okay one this one.” Following the events of the video, fans had a concerned reaction to the two. They flocked to the comment section to add their perspectives to the video.

The Internet Expresses Distress

The video of the two has nearly a million views and had viewers wondering about the state of Matias. “I hope he is fine?” one of the users asked while the other expressed saying, “Thought I witnessed a scalping for a second.”

The commentators were also relieved to know that there was no significant injury. The comments read, “Omg glad everyone is ok!,” “Whoa, close one boys, glad you’re good!”

The duo also received comments for not wearing a helmet. “That’s why you wear a helmet,” “Helmet please,” commented the users but there were also people quick on the defense saying it was natural to make a mistake and that a person’s choice of safety gear is his own. While people debated over that matter, another had an alternative idea.“Gee if only they made an hard shell apparatus that conveniently protects your head, and keeps it warm.”
