When a champion like Shaun White bids goodbye to a sport, people always hope that someday they might return and the world once again will be a better place. However, not all stories end like Tom Brady or Michael Jordan’s comebacks, unfortunately. Though Shaun White hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of a comeback, he is certainly at a place where he wants to be right now.

The three-time Olympic gold medalist is currently enjoying vacationing with his girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, in Costa Rica. He even shared a picture on his Instagram handle last week, with the caption, “It means no worries….#retired. ” Sounds like someone is experiencing the best phase of their life.

Shaun White may go with surfing as a career option

While the Olympic champion is done with the winter sport, snowboarding, he could choose something warmer, like surfing as a career prospect. Not to mention, even his father thinks he’ll be great at it. When asked about his future career options, Shaun revealed, “Something. Something warm. My dad wanted me to be a surfer. I’m actually named Shaun, after Shaun Thomson, a pro surfer. And I don’t know, I picked a winner.”

It may sound a little unreal at this moment, but if that happens, it’ll be great news for all his fans. Perhaps all they need is to see their hero in some action.
