Legendary American snowboarder Shaun White decided to retire from the sport this year after the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022. Even though he did not medal this year at the Winter Olympics, White won hearts all over the world.

Ever since then, White has been enjoying his retired life. Quite recently, he took a grand vacation to Costa Rica with his girlfriend Nina Dobrev. White and Dobrev did not fail to set social media ablaze with constant pictures of their trip.

Now, it seems as if American skiing legend Lindsey Vonn followed in their footsteps. In fact, she is even showing Shaun White up on Instagram!

Three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White hung up his snowboarding gloves this year. Prior to the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, White had announced that these would be his last Winter Olympics.

However, he later stated that the 2022 Winter Olympics would be his last stint as a professional snowboarder. Now, White has been enjoying his retired life, especially with his romantic partner Nina Dobrev.

White and Dobrev recently took a trip to Costa Rica, where they stayed for a while. Their respective social media accounts are testament to the fun they had while there, from luxurious resorts to adventure sports.

Now, three-time Olympic medalist and Alpine Ski World Cup legend Lindsey Vonn has followed suit. Vonn just posted a photo on Instagram from the same resort Shaun and Nina went to.

In fact, Vonn even tagged and called out White on her Instagram post. “They said I climbed the tree faster… just saying,” she humorously wrote in her caption. Vonn posted a string of images of herself climbing a 100-foot tree with safety harnesses on.

White’s ‘monkey business’ in Costa Rica

Lindsey Vonn’s Instagram post is put into perspective by Shaun White’s post from two weeks ago. White, at the same resort, the Hacienda AltaGracia, did the same adventurous activity as Vonn did, climbing hundred-feet trees with ropes and harnesses alongside Nina Dobrev.

Adventure sports are a part of many activities that the luxury resort provides. According to Lindsey, she apparently climbed the tree faster than her fellow Olympian legend did.

Clearly, Vonn is enjoying her time in Costa Rica, and it isn’t hard to imagine her having been inspired by Shaun White and Nina Dobrev’s trip to the country. After all, seeing the couple’s pictures from their vacation could’ve made anyone itch to travel.
