Recently, an Australian media house posted a video on Facebook with the caption, “A brave surfer is right now attempting to break the world surf record – surfing for 40-hours straight at Cronulla Beach, in Sydney.” The video featured the news of Johnston’s bizarre record attempt.

The 40-year-old father of two is a pro surfer in Australia and cited a grave reason behind this enormous physical challenge. Significantly, Blake is on his way to raising $250,000 for a mental health program. It’s certain for him as the guy lost his father ten years back in a mental health battle. Since that, Johnston enrolled himself in the Chumpy Pullin Foundation and has accumulated over $180,000 till now.

According to him, he can bear the laborious task in order to achieve a greater goal, saying, “When I’m pushing through the dark moments on my ultra-missions, I have to remind myself I chose to be here, I’m doing this to become a better person.
