When it comes to surfing, Kelly Slater has his priorities set. Recently, a YouTube video revealed how the former Pipemaster postponed playing golf with Obama and went for a good pipe ride instead. The surfing fraternity reacted hilariously to this news and took to the comment section to express their opinions.

According to the new episode of The Pickup, Slater declined a personal invite by the former POTUS to go golfing, opting to instead surf the pipeline. This could be a normal thing for legends, but can it convince the fan base of the former president?

Fans reacted to Kelly Slater’s priorities

Slater loves to spend his time golfing, much like surfing, and previously dabbled in golf with ex-president Barack Obama. On hearing the news that Slater canceled his plans with Obama, startled fans took to the comment section and wrote –

“Obama actually bodysurfs. He knows about Pipeline. He´d get it.”

“Slater should golf with trump”

“I wouldn’t play golf with him on a flat onshore day, and nobody else on the course.”

“Another day on the golf course with” the former president. Sad to hear he spent anytime with this wolf in sheeps clothing”

Surprisingly the ex-president himself had dabbled with surfing more than once. This compelled, co-host Dylan Graves to say, “I feel like Obama would respect you more afterwards and you know what that’s kind of sick like I’ve never been blown off before. Furthermore, Graves and special guest Nathan Florence discussed how the surfing legend is “mind gaming Obama”.

They even guessed that Obama may also want to come down and do some surfing instead. Though nothing in the world could stop Slater from opting for the surf-pumping pipeline for a day.
