The Jackalope Festival made its grand debut in Virginia Beach on Friday, drawing “thousands of people to watch the action at the Oceanfront,” as reported by the Facebook page of WAVY-TV 10. Taking place at Neptune’s Park from June 2 to 4, this thrilling event originated in Montreal, Canada, in 2012. Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk has been a supporter of the festival. D. Nachnani, representing the local skate shop Coastal Edge, enthused about the diverse offerings, stating, “We’ve got freestyle motocross, we’ve got rock climbing, we’ve got BASE jumping, we’ve got skate, we’ve got vert ramp… Tony Hawk and a whole bunch of pros from all over the world.”
