O’Brien elaborated that there would be a nose riding contest and a spinning contest in the waters. Further, he expressed confidence that he would defeat everyone in this contest. Going confidently in the waters, O’Brien, Conklin and two other female surfers showcased their surfing prowess. After the contest ended, Conklin hinted at who performed the best in the competition. So what did the four surfers do that made this video go viral, gaining thousands of views?

The video portrayed O’Brien making fast spins in the water confidently, bending his knees. Later, the video depicted Conklin, smoothly surfing on the waves, making spins carefully while keeping his balance. Post this, the video depicted another surfer dressed in red, trying to maintain her balance before falling into the water.

Later, the video depicted O’Brien, riding the waters at lightning speed, making a short jump, and landing perfectly as the wave came closer to him. Later, the video portrays O’Brien bending when the wave comes towards him while surfing and then coming up again, not losing balance even for a moment.

At the end of the contest, O’Brien praised the women who participated in this contest. “Girls are ripping”, he said after which a female surfer remarked that the contest was fun. Differing from this view, Conklin admitted that he had a rough surf on the waves. Continuing, he also told O’Brien, “You outspin me, you outdid everything.” This wasn’t the only surfing video that created a storm on the Internet. Another video showed a surfer doing the opposite of what surfers usually do to catch a wave, gaining 1.6 million views.

Austin Keen’s surfing stunt that left fans shocked

In his Twitter video shared on 29th January 2023, Keen is seen fearlessly facing the wave and using his speed and the wave’s motion to jump in the air on the surfboard. Post this, Keen lands with tremendous force into the water.

Keen captioned this post, “It’s the opposite of what you have to do to catch a wave while surfing, but if you have enough kinetic energy, you can face a wave to get even more and fly.”  Reacting to this video, fans called Keen’s stunt cool and fun, surprised by Keen’s prowess.
