The time Tom Carroll was trying to get off drugs was hard on him. He opened up about everything, but he was scared. His mind was full of thoughts that haunted him.

“I’m like the kind of that you know like God was like…For me religion is creating a lot of hurt and pain and it just was not my thing and when I said that I said God help me and I like cuz I’ve been hearing it in the rooms you know. God I know it’s going I was going Oh God and it was way to be in the field position blowing out the smoke going on God help me to get it. At that point it wasn’t like a lot of flesh you know. But from that point on there was something that moved and I was willing to listen. I was willing to put things down. And surrender and just to offer myself up to guidance. And I didn’t know what that was going to be,” Tom said

The surfer never got into the divine. Also, his interest in divine things was never piqued. Although he went through a lot of stuff and was at his lowest, he saw a ray of hope. The same person never said a single word about God. In the end, he did cry for help from God. The surfer was ready to submit himself. He also was ready to surrender and accept the things he did. Tom accepted his fate and was ready to start a new life.

Tom Carroll’s transformation toward meditation

The 61-year-old has found his way into his own well-being. After all these years of torment from drug addiction, he successfully overcame it. The surfer is currently trying to make other people’s lives better through a common process.

The surfer has dedicated his life to meditation. He finds peace in it and also has his own website where he gives his refreshing course. The transition from being a drug addict to a community service person is huge.
