Maz Quinn wiped out by a brutal wave

In a brutal wipeout, Maz Quinn suffered serious injuries and took to Instagram to update his fans. The surfer fell on a strong wave in Mahia and was rescued by helicopter at the beach. The athlete revealed that he has suffered a spinal injury and broken ribs while posting a video of him being rescued at the beach captioned, “Not the helicopter ride I was looking for.”

Further, the surfer in the post explained how he fell on a rocky ledge and had to crawl for twenty minutes in the surf after the strong wave wiped him out.”I had a fall on a solid wave in Mahia yesterday. Which picked me up and drove me into the rocky ledge bottom. It was the first wave of a set, so no one saw what happened,” the surfer added “Got washed in and couldn’t walk up beach. Had to crawl for 20 minutes.”  Quinn was then taken to the ICU of the hospital and had to deal with serious injuries.

Quinn was in the intensive care unit for his broken ribs and multiple broken transverse processors (tiny bones present in the base of the spinal cord). And was constantly provided with painkillers to provide some relief; the athlete also thanked an off-duty paramedic who helped the surfer manage his pain while the surfer was rescued from Grisbone. The surfer has now learned his lesson and is more cautious of the waves.
