The season is ending and everyone’s celebrating a merry holiday in the comfort of their homes. However, it’s not the same for the 28-year-old surfing prodigy Joaquin del Castillo. Surfing has its perks and adventures, but the dark side of it can get extremely out of hand. Castillo is a Peruvian surfer who has expertise in pipe waves.

The surfer has had a terrible surfing accident and sustained major injuries and the surfing world has come together to help the surfer. A donation drive has been started to help him so that he can go back to his family after his treatment.

The recovery assistance for Joaquin del Castillo after a surfing accident 

It has been an extremely grappling time for the Peruvian surfer Joaquin del Castillo. The surfer met a bizarre accident while surfing in Hawaii as he was balancing himself while riding waves in Pipe. However, despite practicing for a better future, his surfing career is questionable after he broke his hip in the accident. 

The surfing world has gathered to arrange help for the surfer through donations. Another surfer Billy Kemper put up a story on his Instagram account and mentioned, “I wanted to please ask for your help with this amazing human. Yesterday he broke his pelvis in several places surfing Pipe and has no medical insurance”. Adding further, he said, “The injury is the painful thing as a human”. He linked the funding link in the story for easy access. The surfer is out of danger and only has to go through hip surgery.

The accident of Joao Chianca

 Joao Chianca is a Brazilian surfer who faced a near-death surfing accident while he was surfing the pipeline. The pipeline is one of the most dangerous waves to ride for the surfers. He is usually appreciated for his stellar surfing moves, but on this day his skills took a turn, and he was hit by a big wave. He suffered a serious wipeout and was left unconscious.

It was a very horrific experience for the surfer as he was thrown out of the wave and then he got his head, hit by a solid surface. He was immediately hospitalized and is now healing. His family shared updates about his wellness on his Instagram account showcasing gratitude for everyone’s prayers.
