Sometimes, a passion for surfing can become a bane. This is exactly what happened with surfing champion Nathan Florence who had to carry too much luggage on his trip around Europe. In a 2023 video, Florence revealed minute details about the massive baggage he carried. Interviewed by his wife Mahina Florence, Nathan also talked about his exciting surfing trips and the top 3 surfing waves he crested.

Currently, with his wife near the north shore of Oahu, Nathan gave his interview in an outdoor setting. The surfing champion disclosed how the Europe trip was his idea of a late honeymoon with his wife. Continuing, he went on to reveal how despite their huge luggage, he felt dissatisfied about not bringing other equipment for surfing.

Nathan Florence’s interesting account of their memorable surfing trip and the colossal luggage 

Florence posted this video on his Youtube Channel ‘Nathan Florence’ on 10th February. The surfing champion narrated how Portugal was the first stop on their massive trip. After Portugal, the couple went to Lisbon and then Scotland. Later, Florence stated, “I had a coffin of five boards and then I had a gun board with two guns in it.” 

At that time, while Mahina had two suitcases, Florence had a suitcase and two board bags. “It was an absolute nightmare”, the surfing champion admitted. Afterward, Florence expressed how he wanted to bring his guns and other boards for the trip but was unable to do so because of the massive luggage.

Before this, Florence also talked about the top three waves of the trip. Naming the wave ‘The Cave’ in Portugal as his first choice, Nathan named Scotland Slab as his second choice and Ireland Moligmore as the third. The surfing champion loved ‘The Cave’ so much that after traveling to Scotland, the couple once again returned to Portugal.

Talking about ‘The Cave’ in Portugal, Florence remarked, “Quickly turned into a week straight of checking it three times a day and spending most of the day looking at it.” However, this is not the only time when Florence has displayed his passion for surfing. In a thrilling Youtube video posted on 7th January 2023, Florence amazed fans with his surfing prowess.

Nathan Florence’s raw video braving challenges in surfing which enthralled fans 

In the video, Florence kept paddling till he reached the desired wave and lay low. However, there were several incoming tides due to which Florence and the other surfers with him had to hold down below the tidal waves for a long time. 

Florence titled the video “IS SESSION OF HOLDDOWNS THIS HEAVY WORTH ONE GOOD WAVE?”  Reacting to it, while one fan called the video a “nightmare uploaded on Youtube”, another fan termed the video “Insane.”
