Bethany Hamilton personifies resilience. After losing her arm to a deadly shark attack in 2003, Hamilton stayed strong, and did not lose sight of her surfing dream. Securing first place in the NSSA National Championships in 2005, Hamilton later went on to defeat 6-time World champion Stephanie Gilmore in 2016. Recently, the American surfer announced a massive update through her Instagram story.

Hamilton hinted that her life was undergoing a huge change, that will affect her along with her husband Adam Dirks, and their three kids Tobias, Wesley, and Micah. Showcasing her energetic workouts, Hamilton gave fans an important message about her family’s newest member.

Displaying her baby bump, Hamilton captioned the Instagram Story, “Less than 10ish weeks to go.” Dressed in a black workout outfit, Hamilton did hand exercises, stretching to exercise her arm muscles. Pointing out how her family continued to support her, she wrote, “Pre-workouts looking like this lately”, giving fans a glimpse of how her son Micah was assisting her to make dinner.

She captioned this post, “Grateful to God for this lil sweetie growing inside of me!”, hinting that she enjoyed the body transformation.  The American surfer also opened up on how motherhood had led to an important realization.

In an Instagram post shared on 14th March, Hamilton related, “8 years into motherhood, I’ve realized that I value my children more than I value “my time.” Continuing, she implied that for her, the family was more important than wealth or success. But there is more.

Elaborating on how her family was her real wealth, she urged fans to appreciate the gifts they had. Post this, excited to be a mother again, she expressed, “Adam and I are looking forward to welcome our little bundle of joy this summer!”
