Viral Video Shows Brother of Two-Time Surfing World Champion Getting Wiped Out in “Rodeo Style” Leaving Fans in Frenzy

The sport of surfing combines both the beauty and the beast side of the ocean waves. One experiences an exhilarating feeling when climbing on top and taming the gorgeous but raging waves. A viral social media post recently captured a famous surfer enjoying this feeling while satisfying his Namibia fever. 

The trending video displayed surfluencer Nathan Florence on yet another endurance run. However, unlike his usual video, this time, Florence was wiped clean off his surfboard by the Namibian waves. The video sent ripples across social media, compelling fans to react to the beautiful barrel and the instant wipeout.

Surfluencer registers another 32 miles in Namibia

Various stars of the surfing world, including the legend Kelly Slater, have currently gathered on the Namibian shores. The year 2023 has brought a lot of traction to the African nation. Surfluencer Nathan Florence made his grand entry at the location way before other surfers started to pop up. Florence is a very talented and popular surfer and the brother of two-time WSL champ, John John Florence. He has been making several exclusive videos in the forever-moving waves of Namibia. This was his second surfing marathon, which spanned 32 miles and 12 hours. Nathan Florence regularly uploads videos for his 460K Instagram followers and his YouTube channel. The viral video showed Florence surfing the mighty waves of Skeleton Bay. One of the standout features that separates Florence from other prominent WSL surfers is his authenticity.

While every surfing icon posts videos where they dazzlingly surf the waves, Florence also posts videos of his failures. Such content decreases the need to look perfect to his fans and they love him for it. Nathan Florence’s fans got treated to another amazing video of the surfluencer when Vans Surfing posted his Skeleton Bay adventure. The video captured a really smooth and stunning barrel with Florence inside it. However, the tides quickly turned and the surfing icon abruptly fell off his surfboard. The waves made quick work of Florence and tossed him off the board with a clean wipeout. The nature of the video immediately sent his fans into a huge frenzy. Fans reacted to the sudden turning of the tables and poured their thoughts into the comments section.

Surfing the waves like a rodeo

The abrupt fall reminded a lot of fans about bull riding at rodeo events. One of the fans said, “Rodeo style! Respect!” Another fan also made a comment along similar lines and simply said, “Bull riding” with a laughing emoji. Fans also praised the hardiness and technique of Florence. Speaking about Florence’s grit, one of the fans said, “12 hours surfing skeleton bay? How?!” Another fan complimented him and said, “Beast mode.” Several fans also noted the level of difficulty and challenge the Skeleton Bay throws towards surfers.

One of the fans noted, “If that’s Nate how the f*** is anyone else going to ride that? Nice rodeo.” Another surfing fan said, “It really puts it into perspective when a surfer of His quality has ‘struggle’ to make some sections. Incredible surfing.” Nathan Florence’s day ended with yet another daring escapade on his surfboard. Fans eagerly await the surflencer’s next move and have their eyes peeled for his next video.
