Apart from the fun it provides, surfing is indeed a tricky sport. Recently, the Da Hui Backdoor Shootout depicted the dangers of the sport. Kala Grace, a well-known surfer from Oahu, met with an accident while surfing and was unconscious until revived. It was clear from an Instagram video of Kelly Slater that the young surfer had a near-death experience. If it was not for the lifeguards, the story would have been different.

The Banzai pipeline famous as the most aggressive and well-known surf spot experienced the mishap. Slater, the 11 times World Surf League champion, is well aware of the surfing accidents. But the resuscitation of Kala startled him. Moved by Grace’s accident, Kelly took to his Instagram handle to console the former. He wrote, “Well wishes to @kala_grace after a near death experience and some scary moments during his heat where he was knocked unconscious.”

The video is a new record of the bizarre mood of nature that can make or break lives. It always happens when pipelines thrush the surfer and he gets hurt. The video of Kala Grace, fainting in Da Hui, shows how he took a wave to the head as he tried to duck-dive and move. He was unconscious when the water patrol arrived and the ski driver abandoned his ski to get to him. Commentators stated he was breathing, injured, and on his way to the hospital via ambulance.
