Shakira has been promoting her new song, “Empty Cup,” notably by dropping many teasers for the video. Shakira posted her surfing reel on Instagram while her new song played in the background captioned “On mermaid watch.”

Shakira also announced the new music film video in an Instagram post, writing, “We made a movie. Manuel TurizoMTZ’s ‘COPA VACIA’ arrives this June 29 at 8:00 p.m. EST.” In the picture Shakira is spotted lounging on the beach dressed as a mermaid with stunning pink hair. Meanwhile, additional highlights of the video with Manuel Turizo can be seen in the background. In the second photo, the singer offered a list of release dates for her worldwide admirers. Apart from the surfing skills and the music video, fans also speculated on a diss at her ex-boyfriend.
