One of the very first accidents was of the Brazilian surfer Joao Chianca, who faced the wrath of the oceanic turf and had almost a near-death experience. This unfortunate took place at none other than the Pipeline. This surfer got wiped out by the enormous barrel and ended up with major injuries, although he is stable now.

After him, another target of the Pipeline was the Peruvian surfer, Joaquin Del Castillo. He sustained major injuries while he was surfing in Hawaii, trying to balance himself while riding waves in the Pipeline. He ended up with a broken hip and had to go through hip surgery, for which a donation drive was also arranged.

Along the same lines, a huge donation drive is also up for the Tahitian surfer Eimeo Czermak, who suffered major spine and head injuries while surfing at the Vans Pipe Masters. Because of the lack of insurance, he is facing financial crises. Not just them, the other surfers like Kai Lenny and one more also faced the wrath of the ocean at the Pipeline.
