Beneil Dariush currently ranks number 1 in UFC lightweight division, and he was never going to take it easy on Oliveira. However, Oliveira had other plans. The Brazilian secured a 34-9-0 win over Dariush’s 22-5-1 and broke the American’s long-winning streak in the division.

As soon as the match started, Oliveira wasted no time in attacking Dariush. He immediately landed a head kick but Dariush stabilized himself. A few moments later, Dariush was on top of Oliveira with both of them on the mat. But things had only begun then.

The rind and grind between the two fighters continued until it was 90 seconds left in the game. Oliveira landed on his feet and launched another head kick at Dariush. This time it made an impact, as Dariush was left slightly off-balance. Oliveira took advantage of this situation and threw a slew of punches at him. With 50 seconds still left to go, referee Jason Herzog called the fight. With 90 seconds left and Oliveira pinned to the ground, he turned it around and won it in 40 seconds.
