Nicole Johnson took to Instagram to share a story of a bulldog taking an ice bath. The former Miss California used the bulldog’s reaction to draw parallels with her husband, Michael Phelps.

Why did Nicole Johnson compare husband Michael Phelps to a dog?

Johnson shared a post of “Buttercup the bulldog” taking an ice bath as her Instagram story. The video features the pooch turning and bathing in an ice-filled tub. However, Johnson finds the behavior of the dog to be similar to her husband when he takes an ice bath.

And when she came across the video, she could not resist sharing it on her Instagram account. Moreover, she tagged Phelps in the story to convey the similarities between the canine and the most decorated Olympian.

In the video, the bulldog was enjoying their time bathing in a tub filled with ice. Buttercup even thrust its head into the ice on multiple occasions. By sharing the video, Johnson implied that Phelps acts in a similar fashion while taking ice baths.

Does Phelps like dogs? Has he adopted any?

Phelps’ love for bulldogs is no secret. The 28-time Olympic medalist has expressed his love for the breed multiple times. Moreover, the family has two French Bulldogs, Juno and Legend. The two pooches also have their Instagram page.

His love for bulldogs is also apparent on the golf course. It is because of the bulldog-themed headcover that he keeps for his driver.
