This video revealed that the longest televised putt in golf history was made by the Olympic swimming legend Michael Phelps. This was done in 2012 during the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. He covered a 159-foot putt and interestingly, at that time he was just learning to play golf and was new to this. He expressed, “A buddy and I were in one cart, and friends in another cart thought they could squeeze through this tight spot, and their car fell in the trap. It was so bad, in a very deep bunker.”
