However, the fans got a little disappointed on day 3 at Hungary with the FINA creating issues with the live stream of the Golden Race.

The organizers added a unique touch to the meet 3 in Hungary with a Golden Race, which was worth extra prize money. It was to be held after the conclusion of the final event; however, this did not go as expected by the swimming enthusiasts. The World Aquatics organizers abruptly ended the live of the race creating disappointment among the fans. Most of them expressed their dismay regarding this incident.

The Golden Race stream disrupted at the Swimming World Cup 2023 

The 2023 Swimming World Cup was one interesting competition with the ideal swimmers and their outstanding performances. Many etched their names in the history books with their legendary performances and some went home with passion for doing best in the upcoming competitions. The athletes tried to keep their fans fulfilled with their amazing skills and wins. However, the Golden Race came out to be a disappointment for the fans as its live stream wasn’t telecasted and ended abruptly.

This left the fans in despair, as they were unable to witness the new element added to the competition. This race was supposed to conclude the final event. In this race, all the winners of the individual 100m races, 100m freestyle, 100m backstroke, 100m butterfly, and 100m breaststroke for both men and women would participate. All of them would be lined up for one final face-off.

The race between them would start relying upon their winning times in their events. This would be done in a reversed manner, with the slowest starting first and the fastest fourth. This race seemed to be an interesting one, but the FINA disappointed the fans by not telecasting it on their channel.

The Internet reacts on the Golden Race incident in the World Cup

The Golden Race which was the unique element of the Swimming World Cup 2023 did not turn out as expected by the community. The FINA did not telecast it on their channel which led to the disappointment of the fans. They expressed their emotions regarding the incident under the live stream of the competition. One of the fans stated this incident as, “Big Scam”. All of them had huge expectations from this new addition, but the unfortunate turn of events created a fuss among the fans.

One of the swimming enthusiasts expressed his feelings by commenting, “World Aquatics gaslighted us for the golden race”. Following this, another one stated, “That can’t be real”. Another admirer expressing dismay, stated, “Pls don’t do that to me world aquatics”. This was not it, eagerly waiting for the golden race, another one stated, “no golden race = no happy me”. The entire community was eagerly waiting for this new addition to take place, but this mishap at the end of the 2023 World Cup was not acceptable by the fans.
