His achievements and accolades are uncountable, making him the greatest swimmer of all time. Alongside his name and fame, Phelps also became a target of several infamous events and rumors.

 In 2009, when golfer Tiger Woods was subjected to scandals regarding his dating life, Michael Phelps left him some advice.

Despite belonging to two different sports backgrounds, the struggles faced by athletes are similar and sometimes unavoidable. When scandals about legendary golfer Tiger Woods were hitting the headlines, Michael Phelps wished him “the best”.

After all the headlines, Phelps came up with advice for the golfer. “Don’t do it again,” the swimmer said. Furthermore, the swimmer talked about mistakes he made in his entire life. Phelps also said that although he made mistakes, he realized them and never repeated them. “I’d be the first to admit I’ve made a lot of mistakes both in and out of the pool,” said the most decorated Olympian. “But of the mistakes, I’ve made I’ve never made the same mistake again. I’ve become a much stronger person, and I’ve helped other people not make the same mistakes.

Despite being an elite athlete, Michael Phelps never failed to show his truthful side. Everyone makes mistakes, but what matters is who realizes them and works on them.

Although swimming is considered one of the most strenuous sports, the star athlete Michael Phelps made it look effortless. The iconic swimmer understood Tiger’s situation and knew how it feels to be out there. But according to Phelps, that’s also the phase when one recognizes their real friend.
