“I’m Beyond Stoked…” Legendary Swimmer Michael Phelps Shares Heartwarming Birthday Wish for His Son Boomer

With a total of 28 Olympic medals, Michael Phelps is the most decorated swimmer of all time; 23 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze medals sum up the Legend’s medal tally. Phelps’ performances have always won the hearts of his fans and have also inspired many.
However, since his retirement in 2016, Michael’s primary focus has been on his family. Additionally, He has also launched his brand with a particular focus on training and swimming wear. And today, the Olympic legend is celebrating something special, as he took to Instagram to the share the same.

From 2004 to 2016, Phelps was at the top of the swimming world. With old records being crushed, new heights scaled, and as a result, a humongous amount of Medals to his name. And even after his retirement, his records stand tall. However, throughout all the hard work and success, one person has always been by his side, his wife, Nicole.
The couple has three sons together – Boomer, Beckett, and Maverick. And Phelps has often shared about the joy of having three sons.

Recently, the champion swimmer took to Instagram to post a series of photos of him with his first-born, Boomer. The caption read “Happy Bday @boomerphelps 6?!? How!!! It doesn’t make any sense how fast ⏱️ goes.” Phelps also wrote that he was beyond stoked to see what the next year brings.

Boomer, who is 6 now, was at the Rio Olympics where his father swam in his last race. He also happens to be the only one of Michael and Nicole’s children to have watched their father perform live (even though he might not remember it).
It is indeed heartwarming to see Phelps post photos of him and his son as they celebrate a special day in Boomer’s life.

Constantly, being on top of his field had a huge impact on Michael’s mental health. However, regardless of what life threw at him, Nicole never left his side. During an interview, Michael opened up about his relationship with her. He also talked about how she supported him through some of the worst days of his career.
Michael also shared that Nicole helped him understand his childhood trauma. He mentioned how Nicole offers support through quotes and books that resonate with what he experienced while growing up.
