Armstrong asks a million-dollar question about Michael Phelps
This year’s US Olympic and Paralympic Hall of Fame saw the induction of some huge names. To name a few, Lindsey Vonn, Billie Jean King, Michelle Kwan, Mia Hamm, and Michael Phelps made the list, amongst others. The ceremony took place after a hiatus of nearly three years. Before the 2019 event, the ceremony last took place in 2012. The frequent and prolonged breaks have acted as a hindrance in the induction of many elite athletes.
As evidenced by the caption on his post, Michael was cheerful and equally humble about it. The post read, “What a night!!! Humbled and honored to be inducted into the United States Olympic and Paralympic HOF. Thanks to all who voted for me. Congrats to my other classmates. Class of 2022!!!”

People often questioned Phelps’ legacy, with him not present in the HOF, but the questions have now been put to rest. A simple, four-worded question perfectly summed up everyone’s thoughts.

Selecting inductees for the honor comprises two stages. First, a nominating committee, including athletes, USOC representatives, HOF members, and historians, select fifteen finalists. The inductees are selected based on a voting system at the official US Olympic website. With the induction of the class of 2022, there are now 168 inductees.
