It’s been nearly two months since the ongoing European crisis disrupted the world order. While the world is deeply affected by the overall conflict, athletes are also amongst the major sufferers. The world sporting organizations have already banned most of the Russian and Belarusian athletes from international events. Now, in the list of banned athletes, here comes a new Russian name, Evgeny Rylov.

The 25-year-old Russian swimmer took the world by storm in the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing. In the event, he claimed three gold medals. However, he cemented his dominance in swimming at the Tokyo Olympics, after winning two gold medals in 100m and 200m backstrokes. Evgeny Rylov’s stats have been more than impressive and clearly, he has a bright future ahead.
