As the Swimming World Cup 2023 marked its beginning on the 6th of October, all the athletes are putting on an impressive performance. However, apart from all athletes it has been quite disappointing for the British swimmer Adam Peaty. After taking a notable break from the sport to take care of his mental health, he did not succeed in nabbing the win in his first race of the season.

Qin Haiyang on the other hand was in his complete element. Be it the heats or the finals of the 2023 swimming World Cup, he conquered it all in the 100m breaststroke. He defeated 3x Olympic Gold champion Adam Peaty and some of the other best competitors to stand atop the podium. It was a disappointing moment for Peaty as he wasn’t able to secure his position even in the top 5 and clocked in only 59.85 seconds. This marked the end of the 5-time Olympic winner with Haiyang ruling over the world.
