A Romania-based athlete continues to hit the headlines. The NCAA swimmer, with her ever-growing social media presence amid her modeling gigs and staunch performance in the pool, has been nicknamed “Olivia Dunne of the Pool.” However, despite the athlete?s growing dominance, the swimmer was recently faced with a setback.

The 20-year-old athlete was recently snubbed over her NIL deal. The athlete, who still possesses international student status, cannot make any profit from the deals. Interestingly, amid this disappointment, the athlete representing San Jose State was spotted returning to the pool. The swimmer even posted a short reel on Instagram, making waves on social media.

Olivia Dunne of the pool returns to her forte

On Thursday, Andreea Dragoi showcased her finesse on Instagram. In a short reel captioned, “Wednesday Butterfly”, accompanied by a blue butterfly emoji, the emerging college student was spotted showing her arm strength while performing butterfly strokes in back-to-back laps in the pool. Interestingly, this practice video comes after the athlete was recently spotted disrupting the internet while walking on New York ramps.

At New York Fashion Week, Andreea Dragoi’ was spotted walking for two brands. The “Olivia Dunne of the pool” was spotted walking for swimwear brand Krissy King in pink wings and silver heels. Therefore, Dragoi posted a video with the caption “pink fantasy,” radiating confidence while walking on the New York ramps in her bright pink wings, last month. After this show, the swimmer was also provided with an opportunity to close the show for Heritage India Fashions at the Fashion Week. Dragoi was spotted wearing an off-white blazer dress for the event.

Interestingly, despite the athlete?s strong social media presence, Dragoi is currently unable to make any profit. The Romanian-based swimmer’s visa policy as an international student has created barriers for the soaring star.

Andreea Dragoi is not able to make a profit

Due to immigration and visa laws, Andreea Dragoi has faced setbacks in raising NIL profits. Unlike Olivia Dunne, who is currently one of the wealthiest collegiate athletes with a net worth of $2.3 million, 20-year-old, Dragoi cannot profit from her NIL deals in the United States due to the F-1 visa guidelines.

Furthermore, the swimmer cannot sign with a talent agency and has also rejected many brand deals due to the restrictive laws. While discussing the reality behind the cameras, the athlete told the media, ?I am doing it all on my own. It made me learn a lot from the process and how to manage everything. Further, the athlete added, “Everyone thinks I have a team behind me at this point, and I’m like, ‘Nope.'”

To manage her finances, Dragoi is currently working as a lifeguard. Despite Dragoi working 20 hours a week to maintain her independence, the swimmer showcases the pinnacle of sportsmanship by maintaining her performance as a swimmer while embracing her femininity.
