At the 2023 French Elite Swimming Championships in Rennes, he made a big splash. In the 200m breaststroke, he set a French record and qualified for the 2023 World Aquatics Championships with a time of 2:06.59, a 2.17-second improvement from his previous best.

In the 200m freestyle preliminaries, he achieved a personal best time of 1:48.70 and secured a spot in the final. He won gold with a time of 1:46.44. In the 400m individual medley, he achieved a World Championships qualifying time of 4:10.57, winning gold and the national title.
