Residents rushed to the son’s aid when they heard his screams. Later, the villagers did manage to catch the predator, but there were no signs of the father. Conservationists warn that overfishing and habitat loss are forcing crocodiles to move closer to villages. The locals, without this knowledge, continue to bathe and fish in rivers. This is one of the causes that is leading to a dangerous surge in crocodile attacks. Sadly, this is not the only crocodile attack reported in 2023.
