Thanksgiving has commenced and the swimming community has so much to be thankful for. The world champion and Goldfish Swim School’s ambassador Ryan Murphy has proved the same. Murphy is an American swimmer and a backstroke phenom. He is a four-time Olympic gold medalist and the former world record holder in the 100-meter backstroke.

After recently receiving an honorable award, Murphy has so many things to be thankful for and he made sure to turn heads with one of his sweetest messages during the Thanksgiving season.

Ryan Murphy’s Thanksgiving tribute to swimming?

The Goldfish swim school shared a ‘Thankful Thursday with Ryan Murphy’ video. Here, Ryan is seen speaking his heart out about everything he is grateful for in swimming. In this video, Ryan is seen expressing his gratitude for swimming. He stated, “I’m thankful for the sport of swimming and I’m thankful for a lot of reasons”.

He further expressed that he loves to do something and push the limits of his body. Adding to it, he said, “I love being able to compete against the best in the world at the highest level and I love doing it every day”.?

His love for his sport is evident in his performances. From the 2016 Summer Olympics to the 2020 Summer Olympics, he has not failed to prove his worth. With this, he also gave an exceptional performance at Fukuoka in 2023. With this, during the end of the 2023 season, the backstroke maestro also received an honor at the Golden Goggles Award 2023.

Ryan Murphy ended the 2023 season with a blast. He for the second time in his career attained the Male Athlete of the Year award at the Golden Google Awards 2023. Getting his name etched in the history books, Murphy attained a big round of applause from the audience while he stood atop the podium for the award. This award category had multiple big names from the swimming realm as nominees, but the six-time Olympic medalist beat them all and grabbed the title.

This award was one of the most awaited awards of the night and its result amped up the audience more. He completely deserved this title after winning four medals, including two golds at Fukuoka and waving America’s flag high.
