“This Ones for You”: Justin Bieber Once Gave Michael Phelps a Tribute Going Out of His Comfort Zone

Swimmer Michael Phelps left a great impression on everyone’s heart during his last performance in the Olympics. As a tribute to the legendary swimmer, some of his fans have tattooed his face on their arms.

However, along with his general fans, some of the biggest names in Hollywood and music also admire his achievements. One of his greatest fans is Justin Bieber, who once dedicated a dive of his to Phelps.

Justin Bieber dedicated a warm post to Michael Phelps

In 2019, Justin called out Michael via his Instagram handle. He shared a video of him racing and swimming in the pool. He captioned the video, “Michael Phelps this ones for you.”

Their fans started writing lovely comments explaining how they love Bieber’s feed. Some even expressed their gratitude toward him for dedicating the video to Phelps. However, many wanted to see both of them together in the pool.

The interest in swimming as a sport significantly increased after the Olympics when the golden era of USA’s Mark Spitz began. He created a craze among people by winning seven gold medals in the Munich Games in 1972. Also, his super astonishing victories made his name popular both among the public and popular celebrities.

Michael Phelps followed Spitz’s legacy and vowed to break all the previous records. He created history by winning eight gold medals in the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Meanwhile, Canadian singer Justin Bieber was marking his epic beginning in the music industry in 2008. Bieber signed his first deal with Usher after a marketing manager found him on a YouTube video.

In 2016, Phelps was breaking all records and was at the peak of his career. While Justin was hitting the concert stages and making records with his perfect voice, he organized a pool party.

Somehow, Justin agreed to let a rapper duo, ‘These White Kids,’ make a video at his house pool party. The video was filmed by TWK & Nathan Groff. But the main part of the video was Michael Phelps. Apart from featuring girls enjoying in the swimming pool, Bieber was also swimming fully clothed.

The song was titled ‘Michael Phelps’ and featured his face cut out on one dancing person. However, this video seems to be on the unexplored side of YouTube as it has 267,323 views, even after featuring Phelps and Bieber.
