He once said, “Water safety has been a priority in my family.” Phelps took on the aim of raising awareness of his reputation as the most decorated swimmer since becoming a family man.

Not long ago, the children’s TV series PAW Patrol launched a global water safety project, PAW Patrol Safety First! The Baltimore Bullet was the global ambassador for the water safety initiative partnering with his son. With the rise in pool mishaps over the years, he once again took on the off-pool advocacy, this time with his family.

28-time Olympic medalist shook hands with Nickelodeon-powered The PAW Patrol and appeared with his son back in 2020. The prolonged designation supported Phelps to extend his guidance through fun videos and short water safety lessons for minors. It seems like the awareness is now taken upon by the entire Phelps family. The Flying Fish shared an update on his Instagram dressed up to attend the newest “PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie” screening.

Dressed in summer casuals were his wife, Nicole Johnson, and his boys Boomer, Beckett Richard, and Maverick Nicholas. Michael captioned the story, “Pawpatrol screening w the fam” with two heart-eyes emoji followed by the big announcement, “In theatre’s September 29!!” The USD 26 million budget kid’s movie promises “vibrant animation and age-appropriate action and humor,” reported Motherly. In addition, personalities like Chris Rock, and Serena Williams among others will be a part of the movie.

The purpose of the film is to promote awareness and instill a sense of pool safety so that drowning can be avoided. Through the Michael Phelps Foundation, the swimming legend and his wife continue to promote the initiative, coupled with several public announcements about it. A few months back, Nicole raised some serious concerns over the unfortunate results of neglecting the basic water lessons. The Michael Phelps Foundation advocates water safety, particularly for kids. His team encourages kids to ask their parents for swimming lessons, to never swim alone, to sign the Pool Safely Pledge, and to stay away from touching drains in hot tubs or pools.

The crew aims to motivate budding swimmers, encourage pool safety practices, and assist them as they navigate their route. Phelps and his son Boomer also teamed up with the PAW Patrol team in 2020 to share swimming lessons.
