After Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte is the only other Olympian that comes to mind. With 12 Olympic medals, he is definitely no match for the Baltimore Bullet’s whopping 28 medals. However, when it comes to caloric intake, Ryan Lochte can give him a solid challenge. Michael Phelps once revealed that he would consume 10000 calories in a day during his Olympics training. Alyssa Howell, a Lochte family friend, shared a video on her Instagram story with the caption, “Home for the week”. A white heart symbol followed the text, while the geotag showed North Carolina as the location of their festivities. Howell tagged a lot of people on the video, including Ryan Lochte and his wife of five years, Kayla Rae Reid. On past occasions, the couple had spent Christmas at home taking care of their two children. In 2022, Kayla Rae Reid was pregnant with their third child, which made traveling out of the question.

Cut to 2023; the couple could not deny the allure of spending a few intimate moments in a secluded cabin. The couple flew from the Tampa International Airport to North Carolina on a Delta jet. Ryan Lochte’s permanent home is in Rochester, but he trains with the Gators in Florida. The Olympian patronage of Delta was gratitude for the airline’s support of 15 athletes on the road to Paris 2024. This trip was also a gift for his wife, whom he had no shortage of words for appreciation.
