Watch: Michael Phelps, Justin Timberlake, and Jimmy Fallon Enjoy a Game of Golf

Ever since his retirement, Michael Phelps has been spending a lot of time playing golf with his friends. The most decorated Olympian in history is a pretty decent golf player too.

Interestingly, he holds the record for the longest televised putt in the game’s history. His love for swimming and golf is clear in the custom-made wedge stamp that shows 28 stars, each symbolizing an Olympic medal.

Golf has become an increasingly popular sport in the US. With many big-name stars and personalities joining in, it has become the ‘staple sport’ of the nation. The golf course has also become the premier place for many business deals to take place.

Phelps’ reputation and his passion for golf have proven to be massively profitable for the sport as well. Michael is seen golfing almost every weekend now. This weekend, it was no different as he hit the links with the likes of Justin Timberlake and Jimmy Fallon.

Michael posted a story on his Instagram thanking the ‘8AM Golf’ and Justin Timberlake for a “great weekend.” The story contained a reel by Justin Timberlake with the caption “We also Golfed.”

 

The reel mostly features Justin and Jimmy as they teamed up for the weekend. Apart from playing golf, the group is seen dancing, playing basketball, rolling about, and just having a lot of fun.

It’s a real ‘feel-good’ kind of reel seeing all the friends having so much fun on their day out.

Phelps will represent team USA in a celebrity golf match

Similar to the celebrity Ryder cup, a new competition will take place at the Liberty National Golf club. A collection of star athletes and celebrities will take part in the much-anticipated game. One amongst which is Michael Phelps.

The series will commence on the 30th of June and end on the 1st of July. The tournament will see Team USA take on Team Rest of the World.

 

Fred Couples will captain the team USA while Ernie Els will lead the team ROW. Of all the people appearing in the event, Phelps is the headliner on the US Roster.

Other superstars to take part in the event are NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan, Boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya, and two-time Super Bowl winner Ben Roethlisberger.

Representing team ROW will be boxer Canelo Alvarez, tennis star Ash Barty, current Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and three-time Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.

With so many superstars participating in the event, it is bound to be a great one.
