Horrific incidents are something that can shake you to the core. Almost every day one or the other accidents are taking place and especially because of carelessness. Recently, a terrifying accident took place with a little boy while swimming in the Cowlitz River. There is nothing new in the fact that swimming must be done with complete care and challenges should only be performed if one is an expert. Kids these days do not understand the seriousness of it and face a life-changing consequence.

A 15-year-old meets with a tragic accident while swimming 

It is extremely sad to know that a 15-year-old boy named Xander Medina has left the world in a tragic accident. At this early age, it is very common to opt for adventures and challenges, but without safety, nothing is worth it. According to KATU, the little boy died on Sunday while he was swimming in the Cowlitz River with his friends.

They were three friends of almost the same age who had the plan to swim across the river. Once they started and reached midway, they realized that the current was too strong to swim. Two of the boys were successful in getting back to the shore, but one was left behind. The public called the Sherrif and other rescue teams for helping the boys.

Every day accidents that lead to tragic consequences 

For helping the boys, the Cowlitz County Sherrif’s Office, Cowlitz Fire & Rescue, and Cowlitz County Dive Team were called in. They were informed about the entire situation by the public about three teenagers who were seen struggling in the river near the Lexington area.  As the two boys got back to the shore safely, the third one, Xander Medina, was found dead by the Cowlitz Dive team divers. Frequent accidents like this are taking place in so many places.

Recently, a two-year-old child was found unconscious and suffering from respiratory arrest in a swimming pool. Another accident took place that stunned the world. A four-year-old kid was found floating in the swimming pool of his own residence. His father tried his best to make his child regain consciousness, but even after several efforts, nothing happened. After he was taken to the hospital, he was declared dead.

Stories like this portray how safety is crucial. No matter how leisurely of an activity swimming is, but not opting for the right measures can turn the best experiences into the deepest nightmares.
