Athletes from 197 countries are swarming into the 2024 World Aquatics Championships in Qatar, where they are all fighting for coveted spots at the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Now, looks like the Chinese diving squad is pulling all the attention winning against the top swimmers in the world.

Ahead of the Championship, they had stated that they view this swimming championship as a crucial “midterm exam” in their Olympic preparations. At the Men’s 4×100 Free Podium, the Chinese “Dream Team” stunned the audience with a stunning performance that brought the excitement to a fever pitch.

World Aquatics Championship’s latest result

The relay finale played out like a script from an exciting sports film as updated by a tweet shared by @SwimSwamLive accompanied with the caption: “Men’s 4×100 Free Podium: China (Pan (WR), Ji, Zhang, Wang) — 3:11.08 Italy (Miressi, Zazzeri, Conte, Frigo) — 3:12.08 USA (King, Casas, Hobson, Foster) — 3:12.29.”  China continues to have a stratospheric advantage in the World Aquatics Championship due to the margin distance.

Two days back China completed a fantastic opening week at the World Aquatics Championships. This put them at the top of the medal standings with an astounding 16 golds out of 29. China has clearly expressed its goals and is intensely concentrating on the major event in Paris, which is just five months away. As they prepare for the big stage in the City of Lights, their early domination leaves little question about their intimidating presence in the aquatic arena. Meanwhile, the other events of the day also saw Americans take the backseat.

Event scores of the day

In the women’s 400-meter freestyle event: Erika Fairweather of New Zealand won the gold with a mark of 3 minutes, 59.44 seconds. Followed by silver medalist Li Bingjie of China with a time of 4 minutes and 1.62 seconds, and Isabel Gose of Germany earning bronze with a time of 4 minutes and 2.39 seconds. Shifting to the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay, the Netherlands took the gold medal, finishing at 3:36.61 s. Australia finished in second place, clocking 3:36.93 seconds followed by Canada at 3:37.95 s.
