The young performer fulfilled his dream of defeating his childhood idol, Novak Djokovic with an excellent score. With every minute passing, the match became more exciting and nail-biting for the spectators. Alcaraz?s incredible victory has been commended by many great stars across the world including the swimming champion, Michael Phelps. Phelps posted a story congratulating Alcaraz on his wonderful performance at Wimbledon.?

Carlos Alcaraz made a great victory over the World rank 2, Djokovic with a great score of 1-6, 7-6(6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. The World No. 1 saved his maiden title at the championships and second title in overall championships. A post was shared by Wimbledon’s Instagram handle which was later reposted by Michael Phelps on his Instagram story. The swimming legend applauded the young tennis star by saying, ?What a match! Djokovic applauded the Spanish star saying, ?You deserve it. Congratulations!?. Alcaraz also expressed his joy in defeating one of the greatest players in Tennis, he said Djokovic has inspired him for playing tennis and he watched Djokovic since his childhood.
