Stephen Smith took a jab at Noah Lyles in an interview and said, “So, Noah Lyles, today very, very, very, ignorant comment. Because, almost a third of the players, are from around the world. Again, 40 countries, six continents. One could easily argue, that NBA players compete more against international competition than he does.” While his initially comments started with a praise for the NBA, he concluded with a diss for Noah Lyles. Several NBA greats also expressed their disagreement with Noah Lyles after his salty statement. Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and Damian Lillard questioned the virtue of Lyles after his comment.
