Noah Lyles continued his winning juggernaut of Budapest and ran through the tracks of Zurich. The world champion had already razed through the grounds of the Hungarian capital by winning three gold medals. However, he is once again back with another splash as he won his first gold on Swiss tracks. Cheers erupted in the Letzigrund stadium when Lyles breezed toward the triumph. Nevertheless, the cheering voice that took all the brownie points belonged to the sprinter’s girlfriend.

The 26-year-old thrashed the competition and clocked yet another sub-20 run for the victory and etched his name in the heavy tome of track and field forever. Hence, along with spectators, Lyles’ girlfriend, Junelle Bromfield, also cheered for him from the crowd. She flew to Zurich and expressed her support for Lyles as he raked in another gold medal.

Despite her support, a few American fans were left sour because of her failure to congratulate Sha’Carri Richardson at Budapest. Bromfield skipped congratulating Richardson despite her stunning victories in the 100m and the 4x100m dash at Budapest. She praised Shericka Jackson for beating Richardson with an almost FloJo-surpassing run in the 200m dash. However, Bromfield didn’t praise Richardson’s triumph over Jackson in the same prestigious tournament, despite having an American boyfriend. While she may have failed to congratulate Richardson for her wins, she left no stone unturned to support Lyles. Fans couldn’t help but notice the undying support of Junelle Bromfield for their ace sprinter, who produced another stellar triumph.

Lyles faced a tooth-and-nail competition from Erriyon Knighton and Zharnel Hughes. While Lyles was slower than his Budapest triumph, Bromfield’s endless support powered him through Knighton’s raging footsteps. The world champion maintained his lead till the end and claimed another victory at the Diamond League.

Lyles clocked 19.80 in Zurich, which was a tad bit slower than his 19.52 second win in Budapest. However, this marked the second Diamond League win for Lyles this season and his fifth overall in the 200m category. Interestingly enough, Lyles had already predicted his win. In fact, he even announced it through the Instagram page of his girlfriend hours before the race.

Lyles’ plan to take over the world

Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield didn’t fail to enjoy themselves in the beautiful city of Zurich. The couple had a good time in the Swiss cityscapes and even shared some amazing pictures with fans.
