The holiday season is officially here, and Noah Lyles isn’t about to miss a single precious moment with his loved ones. This year has been a rollercoaster for the sprinter—filled with highs like his 100m Olympic title and engagement, alongside lows marked by hate and trolling he’d rather forget. Given all that’s happened, it’s no surprise that he’s taking a well-deserved step back to recharge and savor some quality family time.
And well, when the Lyles get together, it’s always fun. We saw a glimpse of this last year when they hosted a gingerbread house-making competition on Christmas day. As Noah and Junelle Bromfield’s team had won the competition, making them the 2x family Gingerbread champions, it shone through that in-house games are something the Lyles take very seriously. And now, turns out a 2.0 version of that has surfaced for Thanksgiving!

As seen in his brother, Josephus Lyles’ Instagram story, Noah Lyles, donning a green Thanksgiving sweater, had turned host for a quiz competition between two of his family members. The 3x Olympic medalist declared the competition open by calling out the teams that were going against each other and read the question to them out of a card in his hand.
“Give me a famous William,” Noah Lyles shot the question out loud and had his other hand held out for the two to tap it before they answered. While both the contenders reacted almost simultaneously, Lyles exercised his discretion as the host and picked one of them, who instantly answered, “William Shakesphere!”
Indeed, the family seems to be having the time of their lives. There’s fun and games along with some delicious outdoor cooking, as seen in Josephus’s other stories, which capture the essence of a perfect Thanksgiving. Especially, concerning Noah Lyles, it shows he’s unfazed from all the trolling he faced regarding his recent comments. He relished a speedy show at the LA Grand Prix recently and now, he’s creating memories of a lifetime with his clan.

Noah Lyles turns troll magnet once again
How many times has Noah Lyles landed in hot water with his fans due to his comments? Well, it’s a lot. His statements about the NBA, Junelle Bromfield trading Jamaican secrets, or how track and field is a dying sport had garnered some intense reactions. But irrespective, he chooses to continue with his audacious ways, even at the cost he often has to pay.
How can we say that? Well, as Noah Lyles sat down with Letsrundotcom for an interview recently, he ended up letting out yet another controversial remark that blew up the track world. When asked to elaborate on his future sprinting plans, if he’d be inclining more towards the 100m or the 200m, Noah Lyles dissed the latter saying, “Nobody cares abut the 200.”

Mind you, this is the same 200 race he once labeled as his ‘wife’ and now, his take sounds so uninterested. Lyles further added that he got a lesson when he broke the American record but yet lost the World Athletics Athlete of The Year title to Mondo Duplantis, the pole vaulter. He went on to clarify, “It’s fun to watch, but at the end of the day, the common people, non track and field athletes, they don’t care about the 200. It’s the 100.”
He’s had some problems with the 200 this year. It was the same race format that had him fallen on the Paris tracks, struggling to breathe for he ran despite having COVID. But such strong statements were found ‘bitter’ by some fans, who wished he stuck to just sprinting. What is your take on this? Let us know below!
