On 10th August 2023, Lyles shared a post on Instagram in which he indicated breaking the 100 and 200-meter records. He said, “I will run 9.65 | 19.10” signifying the 100 and 200m race. Usain Bolt holds the record for the 100m race with a time of 9.58 seconds and the 200m record with a time of 19.19 seconds. Noah’s recent achievement signifies breaking Bolt’s 200m record by a margin of 0.09 seconds.

In the caption, he wrote his inspiring thought by saying, “They say if they don’t know your dreams then they can’t shoot them down. But I have always been more of a guy who loves to hear the screams from the heaters, got a nice ring to it. #Budapest2023.”
